Hi, I'm Jessica Fernandez. A landscape architect and educator.
A Little About Myself.
I'm a campus planner, urban designer, professional landscape architect, artist, educator, learner, and outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy people, and communication is my greatest strength.
My professional work focuses on the design, planning, and implementation of higher education and urban built environments, as well as the creation of digital landscapes. I am also an environmentalist at heart, well versed in sustainable and regenerative design principles.
I am currently researching the assessment of place through social media data reviews and mobility data. This research includes an in-depth exploration of perceptions of the social and physical aspects of place. Additionally, I'm exploring emerging technologies such as virtual and augmented realities to further site analysis, design, and education in landscape architecture, and to better understand how landscape architects can promote positive mental health through design.
